The MET Costume Institute Gala 2014: “Charles James: Beyond Fashion”

The 2014 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala was held last night on 5th May 2014 in New York. The exhibition “Charles James: Beyond Fashion” gathered the most important people from fashion industry, A-list celebrities and music stars to celebrate the career of the legendary twentieth-century Anglo-American couturier Charles James (1906–1978). As a part of the special day, yesterday morning the First Lady Michelle Obama emphasized the importance of the Costume Institute and then cut the ribbon of the new Anna Wintour Costume Center opening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
