The 43rd American Music Awards was held on November 22nd, 2015, at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony celebrated the most popular artists and albums of 2015 and brought some of music’s biggest talents to the red carpet.
As always artists were honored in the genres of Pop/Rock, Alternative Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Adult Contemporary, Contemporary Inspirational, Latin, EDM, Soundtrack, New Artist of the Year Presented by Kohl’s, Song of The Year, Collaboration of the Year Un-leashed by T-Mobile and Artist of the Year.
The show was hosted by American actress and singer Jennifer Lopez and included music performances from 5 Seconds of Summer, Justin Bieber, Leon Bridges, Coldplay, Celine Dion, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Alanis Morissette, One Direction, Gwen Stefani, Carrie Underwood, Walk The Moon, The Weeknd, duets from Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth, Luke Bryan featuring Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town and the legendary Star Wars score performed by pop super group Pentatonix and a full symphony orchestra.

All eyes were on Jennifer Lopez while she changed into eleven looks – from lavish gowns to sheer lace looks and sparkling jumpsuits. For the first look she was wearing Michael Cino ombre dress with full skirt from Spring 2016 collection and completed the look with Christian Louboutin pumps, Neil Lane diamond and ruby rings.
The 46-year-old entertainer kicked off the evening by singing her hit “Waiting for Tonight.” She was dressed in shimmering tribal inspired costume designer by Italian designer duo DSquared2.
For the next looks, J.Lo choose one of her favorite designers Zuhair Murad. She looked stunning in black sheer number with flowing silhouette from Zuhair Murad Fall 2015 Haute Couture collection; then changed into navy sheer and sparkling jumpsuit also from Zuhair Murad Fall 2015 Haute Couture collection; and the third look was bold red dress with embroidered details from Zuhair Murad Spring 2016 collection.
Then J.Lo hit the stage in the shimmering golden Julien Macdonald form fitted gown from Fall 2015 collection and also donned deep oxblood lipstick.
She also exuded elegance in Michael Costello yellow wide leg jumpsuit with flowing cape and golden belt from his Spring 2016 collection.
Then came more edgier look when J.Lo changed into Balmain all nude look from Spring 2016 collection recently presented in Paris.
For the end, Jennifer went for two gowns designed by Charbel Zoe, both from Couture collections. The first one was sheer delight which accentuated her famous curves while the one she wore while posing on the red carpet was ice blue gown with lots of cut-out details.
American singer Gwen Stefani also attended the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles, California. The 46-year-old blonde opted for gothic and glamorous look with Yousef Al-Jasmi sheer black gown from his Spring 2016 collection. She hit the stage to perform her new hit single “Used to love you”, which was dedicated to her ex husband Gavin Rossdale.
American singer Selena Gomez also hit the red carpet for the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles, California. The 23-year-old showed off her sexy back in Givenchy red shimmering embellished dress from their Spring 2014 collection and completed the look with black strap sandals. She hit the stage to perform her single “Same Old Love”.
The star of “Vampire Diaries” Nina Dobrev was also at the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles, California. The 26-year-old looked gorgeous dressed in Zuhair Murad white top, pants and matching cape with floral embroideries from their Resort 2016 collection, and completed the look with Rene Caovilla pumps.
Music star Ciara was all smiles while posing to the photographers at the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles, California. The 30-year-old left little to the imagination as she proudly showed off her famous curves in Reem Acra sheer black embellished gown from their Fall 2015 collection. Her dark hair was pulled back in a messy bun, with a few stray wisps framing her face. She recently revealed she lost 60lbs with a strict diet and intense workouts after giving birth to son Future in May, 2014.
Country star Carrie Underwood also attended the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles, California. The 32-year-old was all shimmering dressed in Yas Couture strapless gown and matching cape for dramatic effect, and completed the look with Greymer sandals. She won the Award for “Favorite Country Female Artist”.
All eyes were on Gigi Hadid when she hit the red carpet for the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles, California. The 20-year-old Maybelline amabassador debuted her short hairstyle but later on hairstylist Bryce Scarlett discovered that he tucked Gigi’s long locks into a shorter half wig. She flaunted her toned figure in sexy Bao Tranchi “Ethereal Choker” white dress and finished off the look with Tamara Mellon sandals.
As we expected, the Jenner sisters also attended the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles, California. The 20-year-old Kendall looked sleek in Oriett Domenech black dress with open back from his Spring 2016 collection, completed the look with Neil Jane earrings and Blamian cage sandals. Following her sisters steps, the 18-year-old Kylie donned a custom Bryan Hearns black leather dress with cut-out details, and finished off the look with Tamara Mellon shoes and Giuseppe Zanotti clutch. The sisters are currently starring in the 11th season of “Keeping up with the Kardashians” reality show.
