Italian luxury fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo presented their new fall/winter 2016 collection at Milan fashion week fall 2016. Creative director Massimiliano Giornetti presented a collection flowing with playful juxtapositions and elegant contradictions to express an unabashed feeling of joy. The focus was on the the confidence that comes with masterful Italian craftsmanship.
He was inspired by the Dada and Bauhaus movements and artists Hannah Höch and Oskar Schlemmer. The were lots of vivid colors – yellow, sky blue, fuchsia, coral, pink, orange; something what we might expect from a spring collection. We loved the knit slip dresses; dresses with colorful zig-zag prints; pleated skirts and lots of elegant cape coats.
