“Carol” leads Golden Globes 2016 nominations!

As another highly anticipated awards season in Hollywood is approaching, the 2016 Golden Globe Awards nominations were finally reveled by the Hollywood Foreign Press. Angela Bassett, America Ferrera, Chloe Grace Moretz and Dennis Quaid announced the nominees for the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel (10th December 2015).

This year the show will be hosted by comedian and actor Ricky Gervais on 10th January 2016. The Hollywood Foreign Press will give the awards to winners in 25 categories — 14 in film and 11 in television.
The movies “Carol,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “The Revenant,” “Room” and “Spotlight” were among the movies that earned top honors as nominees in the drama motion picture category. Rounding out the comedy picture category were “The Big Short,” “Joy,” “The Martian,” “Spy” and “Trainwreck.”

The top television nominiees were “Empire,” “Game of Thrones,” “Mr. Robot,” “Narcos” and “Outlander” for drama series; and “Casual,” “Mozart in the Jungle,” “Orange Is the New Black,” “Silicon Valley,” “Transparent” and “Veep” for comedy series.

Until the Golden Globes weekend, our favorite celebrities will be attending quite a few Pre-Globes Parties – W Magazine party (Thursday, Jan. 7), AFI Awards Luncheon (Friday, Jan. 8), Film Independent Spirit Awards Filmmaker Grant and Nominee Brunch ( Saturday, Jan. 9),
BAFTA L.A. Awards Tea ( Saturday, Jan. 9) and The Art of Elysium Heaven Gala (Saturday, Jan. 9).
