Fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg presented her new spring/summer 2014 collection at New York fashion. She called this collection Oasis – Oasis…An island unto herself, she emerges in black and white with pops of red, a mix of quiet calm and joie de vivre. There was a lot of graphic play with black and white colors as well as lots of prints. As always, the focus was on the feminine dresses and skirts – from the inevitable maxi dresses to column dresses and with details like zippers and lace. There was certainly a 1970-s vibe present in the whole collection, as was in the previous one.
The show was opened and closed by two top models – Karen Elson and Naomi Campbell which was very well received among the audience. Then the front row was full of celebrities, of course – from the Hilton sisters to Miroslava Duma and Jessica Alba. What can we say, everyone loves Diane.
