American fashion designer Anna Sui presented her fall/winter 2014 collection at New York fashion week fall 2014. She found inspiration for this collection in the movie Piccadilly (1929) and the movie heroine, Chinese-American movie star Anna May Wong was the muse of this collection. The collection was also inspired by Serge Luten’s photographs for Shiseido, fashion illustrations from La Gazette du Bon Ton, Biba, art deco jewelry, the interiors of Rose Cummings, and chinoiserie rooms and pavilions from European palaces and features the colors jade, cinnebar and kingfisher blue.
