Italian luxury fashion house Valentino presented their Haute Couture fall/winter 2014 collection last night in Paris. Creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli designed a modern fashion fairy tale for which inspiration was found in the past, more exactly in the notion of Pre-Raphaelites, who themselves exalted all things classical. As always the focus was on elegant silhouettes, this time with lot more of fluidity. There were dresses embroidered with pearls, flowers and crystals, all of which exuded romantic vibe and truly worthy of modern goddess. Instead of heels, models wore gladiator sandals laced up to the knees, which was a homage to the past of the Mediterranean culture.
