Last night Italian luxury fashion house Valentino presented an exclusive Haute Couture collection in New York to celebrate the opening of the brand’s largest global flagship on Fifth Avenue. Creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpalo Piccioli delivered a collection comprised of looks all in white color and entitled ‘Sala Bianca 945’. The focus was on timelessly elegant 47 dresses and floor length gowns. Going back to the history and core values of the Maison Valentino, a special tribute was given to Valentino Garavani’s iconic 1968 all white collection. Take note that the legendary Jackie Kennedy chose her wedding dress from this collection to wed Aristotle Onassis.
Maria Grazia Chiuri stated: “It’s really a big chance for us because it’s so famous, the white collection, that to do something at the same level is not so easy.”
