The 42nd American Music Awards was held on November 23, 2014, at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony celebrated the most popular artists and albums of 2014 and brought some of music’s biggest talents to the red carpet. The nominations were announced back on October 13, 2014, by Jason Derulo and Charli XCX. The show was hosted by American rapper Pitbull. Australian singer Iggy Azalea lead the nominees with six nominations, and she won awards for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album and Favorite Artist Rap/Hip-Hop Album. A few of the most important performers on this year’s AMAs were: Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, One Direction, Iggy Azalea, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez and Fergie.

American singer Jordin Sparks was one of the first ones to walk the red carpet at the 2014 American Music Awards. The newly single 24-year-old donned Halston Heritage sequined gown with plunging neckline from their Fall 2014 collection and accessorized with Dolce & Gabbana sandals.
All eyes were on Jennifer Lopez when she walked the red carpet. The 45-year-old singer looked smouldering in Reem Acra soft pink wrap dress which showed off her incredibly toned abs. Kendall was all smiles and after being named Estee Lauder`s newest ambassador, she obviously has many reasons to smile. Songstress Selena Gomez was an elegant vision in black while walking the red carpet.The 22-year-old was dressed in Armani Privé form fitted black gown which reveled the contours of her whole figure. She accessorized with golden jewelry and donned simple bun hairstyle.
British actress Kate Beckinsale was all smiles while posing to the photographers on the red carpet. The 41-year-old actress donned Kaufmanfranco white gown with plunging neckline and cut-out details on the back. She accessorized with Bulgari Serpenti diamond necklace and Savage “Stack” clutch bag.
