Luxury fashion house Oscar de la Renta presented their spring/summer 2016 collection at New York fashion week spring 2016.
The new creative director Peter Chopping found inspiration for this collection in the life and designs from Oscar de La Renta’s early years in Madrid, where the late designer worked as apprenticing with Cristóbal Balenciaga. He focused on lavish dresses and gown with ladylike silhouettes, frilled blouses, skirt suits, and all of which with modern details such as florals and Chantilly lace.
The most outstanding piece was the closing look when Maartje Verhoef walked the runway in light blue gown with cascading black ribbons.
