American fashion designer Tom Ford presented his highly anticipated fall/winter 2013 collection at London fashion week fall 2013. Just like in those days when he was the creative director for Gucci, this show was opened by one of his favorite models, the stunning Liya Kebede. That was not all, Ford brought 1990s fashion star Kiara Kabukuru to make her comeback wearing his collection.
This collection could easily be described as “multi-ethnic” – endless mix of prints (animal and geometrical), fabrics (leather, mink, knit work) and details like fringes and beaded flowers, which reminded of handiwork. Certainly this was not something expected from Ford because he is best know for his sensual and sexy designs, well this time he took a different step . And it was not just a step, it was a leap forward.
