The 70th edition of the Venice Film Festival was opened last night at the island of Lido, on 28th August 2013 and it will end on the 7th September. In the honor of the 70th anniversary, a special movie was shown which includes short videos of 70 directors from around the world, starting with Bernardo Bertolucci who is this year president of the jury. The movie “Gravity” directed by Alfonso Cuaron and starring Hollywood stars George Clooney and Sandra Bullock in the leading roles opened the festival.
The program will include about twenty movies from American and Asian production. Among them is the new movie of last year`s winner, South Korean filmmaker Kim Ki-Duk.
