Once again Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has the leading place at the list of highest-earning models for the seventh year running. According to Forbes magazine, Gisele went home with $42 million (£27 million) in the space of a year – thanks to profitable endorsement deals with Swedish retailer H&M, French luxury fashion house Chanel, Pantene and David Yurman.
She also has a stake in Brazilian footwear company Grendene and her own, increasingly profitable, lingerie label called Brazilian Intimates.
The second place belongs to Australian model Miranda Kerr who was paid an estimated $7.2 million (£4.6 million) in 12 months. This is thanks to her Kora Organics beauty line and endorsement deals with designer David Jones and Spanish fashion label Mango.
The third place belongs to another Brazilian, Victoria’s Secret Angel Adriana Lima who went home with $6 million (£3.8 million) in last year. Her exercise routine alone could put many of the hottest fitness models to shame. Then again, it takes a lot to prepare for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show!
The fourth place belongs to British model Kate Moss who went home with $5.7 million (£3.6 million).
Here comes surprise at the next place. The fifth place belongs to Chinese beauty Liu Wen who went home with $4.3 million (£2.75 million). She is the face of Estee Lauder cosmetics and last year she walked the Victoria’s Secret show.
The sixth place belongs to American model Hilary Rhoda who went home with an estimated $4 million (£2.5 million). She has been the face of Estee Lauder cosmetics since year 2006 and last year she also walked the Victoria’s Secret show.
The seventh place belongs to American model veteran Carolyn Murphy who went home with an estimated $3.6 million (£2.3 million).
The eight place belongs to Puerto Rican beauty Joan Smalls who went home with an estimated $3.5 million (£2.2 million). She is also the face of Estee Lauder cosmetics and has made endorsement deals with Swedish retailer H&M, Versace, Gucci and Hugo Boss.
The ninth place belongs to South African beauty Candice Swanepoel who went home with an estimated $3.3 million (£2.1 million). She is one of Victoria’s Secret Angels and has also done campaigns for Max Factor, Miu Miu, Blumarine and Juicy Couture.
The tenth place belongs to Dutch model Lara Stone who went home with an estimated $3.2 million (£2.04 million). She has done campaigns for Calvin Klein cosmetics and fragrances but has been under the radar most of this year because of her first pregnancy.
