The most exciting and important night in Hollywood is tonight, as 89th Academy Awards ceremony were held tonight at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles (26th February, 2017).
During the ceremony, AMPAS presented Academy Awards (commonly referred to as Oscars) in 24 categories.
The ceremony was produced by Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd and directed by Glenn Weiss. Comedian Jimmy Kimmel took the stage and hosted the ceremony for the first time.
Where To Watch The Oscars 2017?
In the United States the arrivals and the whole ceremony will be broadcasted at ABC. If you’re watching in the UK, Alex Zane and guests will be hosting The Oscars 2017 Live – a preview show covering the red carpet followed by live streaming of the actual awards ceremony – on Sky Cinema.
The red-carpet arrivals are expected to start from 11.30pm GMT, with coverage of the ceremony beginning at 1.30am. In the US, coverage kicks off at 7pm EST/4pm PST.

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel took the stage and hosted the Academy Awards ceremony for the first time.
During the awards ceremony many celebrities and 2016 winners Leonardo DiCaprio, Brie Larson, Mark Rylance and Alicia Vikander took the stage, as well as the likes of Halle Berry, Jamie Dornan, Chris Evans, Samuel L Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Dakota Johnson, Shirley MacLaine, and Hailee Steinfeld.
The audience enjoyed music performances from Justin Timberlake, John Legend, Sting, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, all of which played their respective nominated songs.
There were nine nominees for Best Picture at this year’s ceremony. The nine films that were nominated are Arrival, Fences, Hacksaw Ridge, Hell or High Water, Hidden Figures, La La Land, Lion, Manchester By the Sea, and Moonlight.
The movie La La Land landed a whopping 14 nominations, tying for the most of all time with Titanic and All About Eve.
