The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards were held last night on 24th August 2014 at The Forum in Inglewood, California. It was the 31st annual ceremony of MTV Video Music Awards. American singer Beyoncé and Australian rapper Iggy Azalea led the nominees with eight nominations while rapper Eminem followed them with seven. After the show Beyonce took home four awards during the show – the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, Best Collaboration for “Drunk in Love” with Jay Z, Best Video with a Social Message for “Pretty Hurts,” and Best Cinematography for “Pretty Hurts.” Singer Taylor Swift hit the stage to performe “Shake It Off”, her new pop single. All eyes were on Miley Cyrus when she did not even take the stage after being announced as the winner of “Video of the Year” award for her song “Wrecking Ball”. Instead, the young pop star sent a 22-year-old homeless man in her place. Talk about a shocker!

Absolute winner of the night, music star Beyoncé Knowles looked stunning in Zuhair Murad gown while posing after show with her awards. The burgundy silk gown featured sheer beaded long sleeves and side panels, and is from the Zuhair Murad fall/winter 2014 collection. Later on she was joined on stage by her husband Jay-Z and their daughter Blue Ivy after accepting the the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. While walking the red carpet before the ceremony, she sizzled in Nicolas Jebran Couture long-sleeve sequined gown which accentuated her bootylicious curves.
American singer Taylor Swift also shined on the red carpet at 2014 MTV Video Music Awards in Inglewood. The 24-year-old rocked Mary Katrantzou blue long-sleeved bodysuit from their resort 2015 collection and accessorized with Elie Saab sandals.
American singer Miley Cyrus looked edgy and chic as always. She bared her midriff dressed in Alexandre Vauthier black leather top and pants from their Fall 2014 Couture collection.

Pop star Katy Perry walked the red carpet trying to imitate Britney Spears and she was joined by rapper Riff Raff. The 29-year-old singer wore Atelier Versace dress that was a replica of Britney Spears‘ jean dress from the 2001 American Music Awards.
British singer Rita Ora was sizzling in red while walking the red carpet. The 23-year-old was wearing Donna Karan Atelier red gown with plunge neckline and open back.
British model Jourdan Dunn walked the red carpet baring her midriff dressed in Balmain black crop top and maxi skirt from their Resort 2015 collection. She showed off her new sharp short bob hairstyle.
