The 56th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony were held tonight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 26th January, 2014. The ceremony was once again hosted by LL Cool J. Many trophies were handed out to the outstanding musicians for the previous year. The nominations were announced on December 6th, 2013 during a live televised concert on CBS, The Grammy Nominations Concert Live – Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night. Hip-hop mogul Jay Z received the most nominations with nine. Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Pharrell Williams all got seven nominations. Pharrell Williams is nominated twice for both Album of the Year and Record of the Year. Sound engineer Bob Ludwig received the most nomination by a non-performing artist, with five.
