French fashion house Saint Laurent presented their new fall/winter 2016 collection last night in the 18th-century house on the Rue de l’Université at Paris fashion week fall 2016. Creative director Hedi Slimane entitled this collection simply “Collection Paris”, inspired by the work of New York based artist Alexander Muret.
The rumor was that this was her last collection for Saint Laurent. Nevertheless she focused on mini dresses with plunging necklines, poufed skirts, bow details at the waist and the models exuded classic glamour with hair slicked back and seductive red lips. Among the accessories, the new “Love” bag stole the spotlight.
There were references to the editorial work of the legendary Helmut Newton, but everything was a homage to Yves Saint Laurent.
