Italian fashion house Prada presented their new fall/winter 2016 collection last night at Milan fashion week fall 2016. Creative director Miuccia Prada found inspiration for this collection in the premonition of nautical style.
She described it with the following words for WWD: “Looked at pieces of the real woman. We need to understand who we are now….Maybe it’s useful to look back to the different characteristic moments, difficulties, love, no love, pain, happiness, different kinds of women: sexy, boring, traveler. So this was the main concept.”
What we liked the most, were the corsets, loosely cinched around the waistline. The focus was on strong outerwear; tailored jackets with fur details on the sleeves; skirts and dresses with 1950-s fit; cocktail dresses and leather skirts.
