British fashion designer Jenny Packham unveiled her new fall/winter 2016 collection at London fashion week fall 2016. She found inspiration for this collection in the work of American fashion photographer Ross Whitaker, who was a regular at Paris’s hippest parties. From the strobe-lit dancefloors of Les Bains Douches, Le Privilège and Privé, his Intimate photographs of the capital’s mmost fashionable revellers caputure the hedonistic energy of the club scene.
Creatively, the 19980-s and 1990-s was a coterie of society belles, artists, models, actresses and intelligensia. It was a pivotal era of art and culture, dismissing traditional notions of social class, beauty, ethnicity and sexuality, with an insatiable appetite for decadence.
This collection is inspired by the style, energy and ideology of the era:
A non-stop party at a time when it was hip to be glamorous.
