French designer Jean Paul Gaultier presented his Haute Couture fall/winter 2013-14 collection last night in Paris. Like in all of his previous collections, Gaultier dedicated each of them to a particular theme. This collection had the theme of lady cats – modern women inspired by the strength and animal print of cats.
In other words these are couture cats! There was a lot of playing with proportions and layers, but the emphasis was on the curves, so over the top, almost like in female cartoon characters like Jessica Rabbit. The sensuality and fierceness were expressed with animal prints in almost every look. The animal loving company – Kigurumi.co posted the collections on their Instagram account with a caption: “Take a walk on the wild side. Bravo! @gpgaultierofficial”.
