The second day of the 70th edition of the International Film Festival of Cannes started with more photocalls, screenings, premieres for the movies “Loveless (Nelyubov)” by Andrey Zvyagintsev, “Barbara” by Mathieu Amalric, and “Wonderstruck” by Todd Haynes.
Todd Haynes’ Wonderstruck got a warm, three-minute-plus standing ovation Thursday afternoon as it officially debuted at the 70th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.

The competition film stars young actors Oakes Fegley, Millicent Simmonds and Jaden Michael alongside Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams, Cory Michael Smith, Tom Noonan, Morgan Turner, Amy Hargreaves, James Urbaniak, Damian Young and Sawyer Nunes.
