French luxury fashion house Chanel presented their new spring/summer 2015 collection today at Paris fashion week spring 2015. Creative director Karl Lagerfeld set the runway as “Boulevard Chanel”, a Parisian chic neighborhood where fashionistas protest in defense of Human Rights. He stated: “I thought it was fun to make a demonstration about a subject I can very well adapt to. My mother was a feminist, and I was brought up with a history of that. I don’t see why every human being is not on the same level, especially in my business. Today, everything is forbidden. Political correctness killed everything.”
As always he focused on Chanel`s signature tweed suit and skirt suits but this time combined with colorful sneakers to catch up with the popular street vibe. There were also lots of mini skirts and dresses combined with tweed blazers, flared trousers and mosaic cocktail dresses. Brazilian supermodel Gisele Budchen closed the show wearing Chanel`s striped cardigan dress.
