French luxury fashion house Chanel presented their highly anticipated Haute Couture spring/summer 2016 collection today at the Grand Palais in Paris.
Creative director Karl Lagerfeld found inspiration for this collection in the notion of “zen” and using organic and recycled materials. The whole runway was set as a zen garden, with green grass and blue sky.
He stated: “Fashion is part of the events of our times. This is high-fashion ecology. It must not look like some sloppy demonstration!”
Of course the front row was full of celebrities – Cara Delevingne and her pet dog Leo, Anna Wintour, Gwyneth Paltrow and Diane Kruger.Our favorite look was on Kendall Jenner – gorgeous black gown with a sparkling embellished trim and a revealing plunging neckline, perfect for making a red carpet appearance.
