American fashion designer Carolina Herrera presented her new fall/winter 2014 collection at New York fashion week fall 2014. Fez hats and bold block prints and statement earrings took the runway, while Herrera focused on new proportions, as she explored different volumes. The focus was on jackets with round shoulders and dresses with bold, colorful prints. Sharp geometric shapes inspired by architectural forms are the basis of prints, both hand-painted and all-over patterns, cut appliqué and crystal embroideries. The color palette ranged from dark tones like navy blue and coffee brown to bright ones like orange and whites.
