The iconic British fashion house Burberry unveiled their new fall/winter 2016 collection today at London fashion week. CEO and creative director Christopher Bailey entitled this collection “A patchwork approach”, featuring a mix of patterns and textures inspired by British artists, musicians and history.
Edie Campbell opened the show wearing military coat in black double-faced wool, worn over a deep green metallic diamond jacquard pleated shirt dress and styled with The Patchwork bag in peacock blue and bright green. Just the first look was enough to see that outerwear will play the most important role as usual. Then came stone-buffed bright green trench coat with heritage details, wool double-breasted coats in check prints, military green parka jacket, tartan coats, military cape, black patent leather trench coat and puffer jackets.
The were also lots of 1970s glam-rock motifs which of course were an ode to the late David Bowie. For the closing look, model was dressed in brushed tartan wool mohair military coat, layered over a metallic deep blue floral jacquard dress and styled with The Patchwork bag and The Buckle Boot.
