Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie graces the cover of Vanity Fair magazine, December 2014 issue. Photographed under the lens of Marion Testino and styled by Jessica Diehl. Director, global-trotting humanitarian, Oscar winning actress, mother of six children and recently named an honorary dame by the Queen for her campaigning work fighting sexual violence; Angelina does it all. So being named as “Woman of the year” does not come as a surprise. For the inside interview, Angeline opened up about her work, latest movie “Unbroken”, her children and being married to Brad Pitt, here are the most interesting parts of the interview:
On her marriage to Brad Pitt: “It does feel different. It feels nice to be husband and wife.”
On her political activities: “When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered. Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility. But I honestly don’t know in what role I would be more useful—I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could]make it less possible.”
On befriending Louis Zamperini, the subject of her new film Unbroken: “It was an extremely moving experience to watch someone watching their own life…someone so physically strong… and they are at the stage where their body is giving up. And yet we laughed together, and talked about his mom. And being a man of such faith, he talked about all the people he believed he would be seeing on the other side. And that it would bring him peace. After a life of fighting, he could rest.”
