American designer Alexander Wang presented his new spring/summer 2014 collection at New York fashion week spring 2014. He found inspiration for this sporty elegant collection in the 1990-s logomania style and trend.
Designer stated for Vogue: “I was thinking about duality, of masculinity and perversity played against femininity and innocence. But I wanted to have fun with it, I wanted to make it witty.”
The focus was on new modern ways of reinterprating the basic shirt – cropped or with collar, or both together. The color palette was quite simplified, black, grey and white, with a few exceptions of pink and blue color. The Alexander Wang logo was everywhere, which is commercially smart move, of course.
