American beauty Kate Upton (IMG) covers the October issue of Vanity Fair, a celebration of their 100 year anniversary. For the cover she was hhotographed by Annie Leibovitz in a Champagne-colored one-piece that channels Marilyn Monroe. The magazine that was called Dress & Vanity Fair when it first appeared in 1913 was put to sleep 20 years later, and it stayed dead until it was revived in 1983 by S.I. Newhouse Jr., the chairman of Condé Nast.
Kate has won the coveted title of 2013 Model of the Year. She will formally accept the award at Wednesday night’s 10th Annual Style Awards in New York City, on 4th September 2013.
