Italian fashion designer Giambattista Valli presented his new Haute Couture spring/summer 2016 collection in Paris. As we expected he continued on the path of creating poetic, dreamy and glamorous couture dresses both extravagant and mastered in the image of an applied storyteller.
The focus was on opulent organza petticoats, long embroidered coats with shimmering draped silk scholars, floral embroidered mini dresses and strapless gowns with long dramatic trains (hoping for Oscar red carpet maybe?). All of which with lots of exaggerated volumes (on both sleeves and skirts), colorful embroideries and appliqué.
