The most glamorous meeting of cinema and fashion has started today in Cannes as the 68th edition of the International Film Festival of Cannes returned and it will end on 24th May. This year`s official poster features cinematography legend Ingrid Bergman photographed by David Seymour. The poster was chosen to pay tribute to Bergman for her contributions to films and who also served as the Jury President at 1973 Cannes Film Festival. As part of the tribute to Bergman, the Swedish documentary Ingrid Bergman: In Her Own Words will be featured in the Cannes Classics section.

The nine-member jury will decide on the winners of the major awards like Palme d’or, Grand Prix, Prix du Jury, Best Actor and Best Actress, all of which will be given to the lucky winners at the end of this year`s Festival. For the first time two people chair the jury – American directors and producers Joel and Ethan Coen. Other jury members include Spanish actress Rossy de Palma, French actress Sophie Marceau, English actress Sienna Miller, Malian composer Rokia Traoré, Mexican director Guillermo del Toro, Canadian director Xavier Dolan and American actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Emmanuelle Bercot opens the 68th Festival with the movie “La Tête Haute” a portrayal of the journey of a young delinquent from the ages of six to eighteen as he moves between rehabilitation centres and juvenile courts.
