Israeli fashion brand Galia Lahav finally presented their new and highly expected Spring/Summer 2015 collection of wedding dresses, entitled “Tales of the Jazz Age”.
Inspired by the time where feminine rhythm prevailed, this new bridal collection illustrates a world larger than the one we know. In the 1920’s, women venture outside of traditional norms and adopt a new eclectic fashion. This is a unique historical period in which gowns become a visual celebration of political reform.
The roaring 1920’s portrays a notion of abundance and liberation from earlier restrictions. The focus is on glamorous dresses in white, ivory, nude and blush colors with details such as sheer fabrics, beads, embroideries, pearls and sequins.
Our favorite model is the Lana gown which has very deep low cut at the back with an embroidered drape sash. The skirt is made of melange of ivory and dusted rose tulle. For the lovers of mermaid shapes, the Madison is a mermaid style gown with glamorous embroidered lace. The dress has a colossal and dramatic train made from layers and ruffles of tulle and vintage lace. The back falls low demonstrating a heart shape with accents of lace appliques and crystal multi-faceted gems. The front is a sweetheart shape and a marriage of two embroidered laces.
