Fashion brand 3.1 Phillip Lim presented their new fall/winter 2014 collection at New York fashion week fall 2014.
Creative director Phillip Lim named this collection “Soleil”, after his muse. He stated: ” It’s funny because I’ve never given the character a name before. We’ve been practising to build a character, but this season I knew she was called Soleil because when she comes out, the sun shines and we all feel good. She’s a very culturally curious woman that lives in a world between instant pop and culture.
It’s like, do we orbit around her or does she orbit around us?” He explored and mixed together lots of different colors, textures and materials. The focus was on bomber jackets, oversized coats and sweaters, mid length skirts and chunky knits. There was the obvious sporty vibe all through the collection as expected from Lim.
