Winter is here and that means staying warm and cozy tops our list of priorities.
Most of us will now feel the urge to throw on every piece of clothing from our wardrobe but there are some tricks which you can use in order to avoid looking frumpy.
Let’s talk about the art of layering clothes!
Layered clothing is a term describing a way of dressing using many garments that are worn on top of each other. Some of the layers have different, largely non-overlapping, functions.
Dressing in layers probably dates back many years, perhaps many centuries, but its recent revival in fashion stems from the 1960s and 1970s when the hippies or street people, so-called bums, discovered that layering was inexpensive, very effective, and comfortable.

The color and fabric are some of the main points to consider when layering clothing. You should avoid using too many layers – 3 things on top is just about enough. You risk looking bulky if you overdo it.
Try layering different shades of the same color as it looks daring but not over-the-top.
And let’s not forget the fashion trick which fashion editors and icons like Emmanuelle Alt, Christine Centenera and Miroslava Duma wear from season to season – draping your jacket or coat. This is the easiest way to make your outfit look fancier than it really is,
How about mixing textures? Playful textures will make your outfit interesting. Combine leather coat with quilted jacket and cotton hoodie.
