This is really happening, and honestly it was only a matter of time! British fashion designer John Galliano confirmed his fashion comeback after being absent from the spotlight for almost two years. In March 2011 he was suspended from fashion house Dior after making anti-Semitic remarks in a Paris cafe. The following weeks, until New York fashion week starts, Galliano will spend in Oscar de la Renta residency. Although de la Renta dismissed the idea that the move was part of plans to hire Galliano as his successor if he ever decides to retire, he welcomed any creative input the designer has to do with his work.
Galliano was head designer of the French fashion companies John Galliano S.A. (1993 to April 2011),Givenchy (January 1996 to October 1996), and Christian Dior (October 1996 to March 2011).
