The 2014 is a year of firsts. Brazilian beauties Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio come in this year’s double fantasy: $2 million Dream Angels Fantasy Bras designed by Mouawad. For the first time the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will be in London and for first time there are TWO Fantasy Bras.
This bejeweled master piece was created in collaboration with multinational jewelry company Mouawad. Each Fantasy Bra consists of mirror-image sapphire, ruby and diamond sets created by Pascal Mouawad and valued at $2 million a piece. Each lingerie set contains 16,000 perfect gems and is accompanied by 18-karat-gold-strung jeweled body pieces (see the setup, below) — all of which took more than 1,380 hours to create.
Alessandra stated for PEOPLE: “Words can’t describe how excited I was when I received a call from Victoria’s Secret to let me know that I would be wearing it,”, and Lima added: “This year was even more special because for the first time two of us would be wearing it and the other Angel was my close friend Alessandra. I was super excited. It’s so great to be able to share the honor with such a good friend!”
Both Angels wore Fantasy Bras before. Adriana Lima had that honor twice, first time in 2008 and then again in 2010, when she dazzled in one-of-a-kind customized Bombshell Fantasy Bra, was designed exclusively for Victoria’s Secret by celebrity jeweler Damiani and it is worth $2 million. In 2012 Alessandra wore the $2.5 million worth bra, designed by London Jewelers of New York. Incorporating the floral theme, with amethysts, sapphires, rubies and white, pink and yellow diamonds arranged in the shapes of flowers and green stems. There’s 5,200 precious stones in total, including a giant diamond flower dangling from the center and a matching “belt”.
